We will meet the client’s requirements within the objectives.
The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the work is with the client. In no event will The Wise Owl be liable to the client or any third party for any damages, including any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate the website, even if The Wise Owl has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The Wise Owl guarantees that all aspects of design and construction of the project will be disclosed to the Client upon completion, and full copyrights and ownership will be the property of the Client once full payment has been received.
All time-frames given for work undertaken are estimates. In no event will The Wise Owl be liable to the client or any third party for any damages, including any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages arising from delivering any work within a given time-frame.
Additional hourly charges will be incurred if the project time extends outside of the timescale due to:
Lack or delay of correspondence from the client.
Slow or delayed delivery of content from the client.
Changes to the initial spec/proposal by the client.
In the event of exceptional circumstances which may cause delays to the project, please notify The Wise Owl as soon as possible to reschedule the work and to avoid additional charges.
If the Client does not supply content and/or communicate in a timely manner as requested by The Wise Owl in the agreed timeframes, we will postpone your services and a fee of £75 will apply to reopen and reschedule the work. Work completed shall be invoiced at the hourly rate, minus deposit paid.
If the Client stops work on a project, work completed shall be invoiced at the hourly rate, minus deposit paid.
Web Design Packages
Once a website project is complete, unless agreed otherwise, the client has 14 days to request any changes that relate to functionality problems, small tweaks, spelling mistakes.
After care plan
The Wise Owl may provide a website care plan as stated in the quotation to provide ongoing support and maintenance. These hours cannot be accumulated or rolled over to a following period. Further maintenance will be chargeable at an hourly/project rate.
The Wise Owl will maintain ownership of the backend account for your site, unless agreed otherwise, to provide necessary maintenance. Transferring this from us can be requested at a fee of £99.
The Wise Owl does not guarantee your site will appear on the first few pages of Google as this depends upon a number of complexities and level of website design requested.
You can choose from 2 payment options when purchasing our website services*:
1. £199 deposit payable prior to commencement and remaining balance payment split over 6 monthly instalments following the completion of the website.
2. 25% deposit prior to commencement and 75% balance due upon completion. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice.
*Clients with websites not held and managed by The Wise Owl must select payment option 2.
Non-payment in either instance will result in interest being charged and we reserve the right to restrict the services that we provide until payment is received.
Any amount quoted for website projects, unless explicitly stated or agreed otherwise, excludes hosting of the website, domain name registering, video and image stock licenses and any additional licenses required for the operation/running of the website, outside of those agreed in the proposal.
Domain & Hosting Registration & Renewal
Domains/hosting registered by The Wise Owl acting on behalf of a client will be purchased upon beginning work to enable us to claim the domain address. Domains/hosting will be registered using domain privacy and set to auto renew on expiry. It is the client’s responsibility to inform The Wise Owl if they intend to not renew the domain/hosting registration ahead of renewal as we do not offer refunds for any hosting or domain fees.
Social Media & Virtual Assistant Packages
You will be invoiced at the end of every month. Payment is required within 7 days of issue of invoice. Failure to do so will result in interest charged per every unpaid week. If we do not receive payment within 7 days of issue of invoice we will reserve the right to restrict the services that we provide.
Any amount quoted for Social Media and Virtual Assistance packages, unless explicitly stated or agreed otherwise, excludes video and image stock licenses and any additional licenses required for the operation/running of the services, outside of those agreed in the proposal.
